As this week’s Vancouver weather has made abundantly clear, winter is here. For many, the change in seasons comes with a change in diet. Summer’s fruity, light flavours fade away and are replaced by the hearty, spice-infused flavours of winter.
This is partially because different food grows in the winter. We buy local whenever possible, so we thought: why don’t our smoothie flavours reflect that?
How can we best continue to support our local suppliers while giving customers flavours they love?
Our answer: the Seasonal Blend.
We’re taking the season’s freshest local ingredients and combining them in unique ways. The Seasonal Blend is our equivalent of a rotating tap at a brewery, or a chef’s special at a restaurant.
We’ll change it every couple months. For our regular customers, this is a great way to add even more variety to your daily routine.

The Golden Orchard
The Golden Orchard takes that classic pumpkin spice flavour we all know and love and infuses it with apple and ginger. The result is a warm, yet refreshing flavour that is the perfect healthy substitute (or supplement) for eggnog season.

Growing Chefs
We are also using the blend as a chance to give back. Developing our business has been a journey for us in learning about growing practices and healthy food. That journey all started when we got our hands dirty in our backyard garden.
Knowing what we do now, we feel people should understand what's in their food - deeper than just what's on the nutrition label.
So we've partnered with the Vancouver charity Growing Chefs! They teach elementary-age children about gardening, harvesting, and cooking. For a limited time, we'll contribute $1 of every Seasonal Blend sold to their program.
